Exhibition Park is a versatile and popular little park in the middle of town. You'll find nothing too out of the ordinary, but it is attractive, green, clean, and popular for outdoor sports like walking and running. Of course, it's easy to find a pick-up football match or two going on here. Facilities include a lake with boats, as well as basketball and tennis courts.

Located less than five miles from Gateshead and only a few minutes drive from Newcastle's City Centre, Gibside is a beautiful combination of historic architecture and scenic nature walks. In the warmer months, guests are treated to live outdoor music in the park area, parts of which date back over 200 years. Many of the historic buildings at Gibside are currently undergoing restoration.

Located approximately one mile east of Newcastle center, this Victorian-era park was built in the late 1800's and is one of the city's most popular places to spend a warm afternoon. There are several expansive greens, as well as play areas for children.#13;#10;#13;#10;

This is a nice, large park that is only a short walk from the center of town and the Eldon Square shopping area. Leazes offers numerous walking and running trails around a large lake. You can also rent canoes, feed the ducks, or just relax on a bench and admire the surroundings. The park is located right next to St. James Park.
